"Here Comes The Rain Again"

... and it's falling.

Today, the newscasters were calling for light drizzle and occasional fog patches.

WHATEVER!

When your intermittent wipers are steaming from working too hard, it's not a light drizzle.
When you feel your tires hydroplaning, it's not a light drizzle.
When cars are going 5-10 mph slower than the posted speed limit... it's called driving in Podunk.

My point is, weather sucks in my neck of the woods and I am still disappointed that the "colorful" fall we're due is turning into murky brown and black. There are few reds, not enough yellows and the greens are still in greens. Mark my words, we're going to have a late winter this year. I won't be surprised if we still have snow on the ground by Easter.

Anyway, day 2 of the long haul hasn't been that bad. My monthly maintenance on my insturment today went without a hitch, completing the 25 minute maintenance on time for once! God, I love it when things work to my advantage.

Then, while I was chatting with A, I got a call saying that my Philo class is right on track. The new Prof is a tenured and retired prof (of course, came out of retirement to 'edumacate' us CC students) that would be teaching the course until the end of the semester. Woot! I guess it means I am back to reading text that makes absolutely no sense at all. But, on the brighter side of things, that means that I actually don't have to retake the course unless I fail it!

The topping on my cake? The new EW magazine arrived in the mailbox. This time it's not torn or look like it had been leafed through. It's actually in pristine condition! Anyway, I just want to point out the "good stuff".

1. Page 21. A Butt Shot of Chicken Little. Just too cute.
2. Page 37. Secrets of Star Wars. Now, before y'all smack me on the head, check out the Ewan and Hayden photos. I think it's awesome.
3. Page 75. Logan VS Logan. I think EW was eavesdropping on out chats, chicas! EW does a split screen comparison of the Logans on GG and VM. Honestly, I still lean toward snakalicious over the cheesy grin. Hey K, why didn't you tell me that Shira was a DOOL alum?
Same page on the Soundbite box, we have Bright's soundbite on Everwood. Read it. I thought his delivery on this line was a definite roll on the floor.
4. Page 96. The Fright Stuff by Stephen King is an absolute read. From a man that hates Holloween, I love how he puts in his 2 cents' worth of ideas to make the ghoulish day pass with enough creepiness you'd realize why it's only celebrated once a year in the US. Bonus points to him: he gives the Red Cross a shoutout and a free advertisement to donate blood. Please, be a hero and donate.

Lastly, more spoilers for you to read. I've found more crap on GG and VM so enjoy!

The rain is really sucky, especially when you work your ass off for eight days in a row while sick to have a weekend off, only to have it rain the whole damn time! Grr, I'm annoyed, can you tell?

The spoilers are fabulous! Thanks for them. I can't wait to see CC and AH share the screen again. They always were great on BtVS, and I am so excited to see them on VM. It'll be good.

I so want to run out and get the latest EW now! Our VM Logan, no matter what Ames says, is better. Much, much better. Way better. Leaps and bounds better. Scads and scads better.

Gee, do you think I was a little over the top about which Logan resides in my heart?
