Ashton Kutcher, part Deux

I am back and I promise not to get all mushy until later... Much later. Like next week or something.

To all the gals who sent good wishes my way after my mental breakdown, I LOVE YOU. I really did need that little push there. Jackie, (*hugs*) you are the best. A girlfriend like you is priceless. Camilla, you are a darling. I wish we were around to keep you company. You have to provide all things chocolate though. ;)

Moving on...

I just want to embrace the fact that it is FRIDAY! WOOT! I cannot believe I am so happy about it. This is the only weekend the hubster and I get to tinker in the house. BIL needs help moving and we promised him 2 hours of our precious time. The garden needs last minute tending to before everything settles in for winter. The playset needs some staining. I still have to lay the weed blanket down so the annoying plants won't grow back next spring. I know, I know, y'all don't care but I told you all, I have NO time to myself (or the house). Next week, we're off to Florida for a wedding. The weekend after that, I will be working. Surprise, Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

ATTENTION: This section is reserved for station ranting...

Is anyone upset that Christmas decorations are already in full swing in the malls? I am truly appalled. There should be a law that Christmas decor should not be put up AFTER Thanksgiving. Sheesh, it's not like we'll spend any more or less on Christmas presents if they started decorating in June.

BACK TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED GABBERY

First and foremost, bad news. Amy finally handed me MNT 14. I fixed all the deets Ames nicely highlighted for me (hugs, my dear friend) and got it ready for posting... Only to find out that FF.net is DOWN... AGAIN.

Ugh! How can I get my readers to read my story? I remember when I had written "Meatmarket" and FF was down for like 3 days and I emailed everyone who had personally corresponded with me if they wanted a preview of the Meatmarket chappie. They did and got back about 17 reviews, not including the reviews posted on FF when I finally got the chappie out. I want my story out. It's almost done. Can't wait for closure.

Second, I've decided to write my own challenge. Elaida was supposed to write my challenge but I guess with Seasonal Passions shutting down, she decided not to continue with it. I don't have the guts to ask her to write it so I decided to just do a self-challenge. I might preview it on Build-A-Fic when we finally get the site up. Ladies, when do you think would be a good time to sit and chat about BIF?

On a lighter note, Lindsay gave me first dibs on her Seasonal Passions challenge. Not to steal her thunder or anything but IT IS GOOD. Snarky good. Tension-filled good. I am giddy in anticipation since the build up is so yummy. So, Lindsay, here's how much I love you. I promise to read your drafts before I read my school stuff... Ames, I promise I will read PP... eventually. So don't start sulking! (Love ya, babe.)

Third, Jackie wants to start the book club. Yay!!! Amy's on board, I'm on board... K? Who wants first dibs? And yes, "Can You Keep A Secret" by SK is deliciously sinful. Love that book. I still have to catch "The Undomestic Goddess". I hope it's as good, if not better. I can't seem to really follow the Shopaholic series since, surprise, I am not one who does a ton of retail therapy. As for "Million Pieces" I might have to read that later.... so much later that PP should be read first, along with the other prequels before I read it later.

Lastly, Kristen Bell recalls being Punk'd by Ashton. She is so funny! Now if I could just catch this ep. I bet it would be hilarious.

And if you can't wait to see next week's VM, here's the first few minutes of the show.

Speaking of which, here are some yummy scenes to expect from VM. Thanks, Spoilerfix!

Okay, so I just found your updates.

I thought your blog just went all funky again, and wouldn't show any of your posts. Otherwise, I would have commented sooner on all this.

I really should learn to try to scroll down.

Oh, well.

As for the book club, I'm in! I need some good reads. I never seem to have enough time to go to the store and grab a good book. Too many school texts to get through, and they are way too annoying. I need something to break up the monotony of philo babble and historical dates.

You better read PP! If you want, I'll make you a summary of that too. Up to where Ames stopped. But you have to read the Ella parts. Our children are in it. And I've spent more quality time with Rosa and Grey as of late than you have. Which is wrong, as you are their mother! But we're giving you a chance to redeem yourself. Ames and I'll tell them that you were off taking pictures again, and they'll probably forgive you.

Anyway.

Sorry to hear about all the family drama. Does your mom ever think that maybe the stork knows better than she? Perhaps he's waiting around for you to finish up with school, so you can actually have time/energy/sanity to have a teeny tiny M-illy running around? But it will happen. I can feel it in my bones. Plus, I agree with everyone else. You mama is going to be so proud when you are a college grad! Devoting time to school isn't at all something that you should have to apologize for! Education is improtant. You are empowering yourself, and helping to create a better future for you and nilly and any mini-yous that come along. (And they will. Promise. I'm lighting lots of candles, and calling in all sorts of favors from relations up above for you!) Don't apologize, and just, remember, it will get better. You might be stressed now, but isn't it better to be stressed now than to always be stressed? So just, take a minute for yourself when you can, and break the seal on the VMS1's, (Tell Nilly to shove it! GG is more than good enough for Xmas. VM is good for the destressing. All the boys are pretty. Plus, things are almost always worse in Neptune. The goings on there usually make life look calm and uneventful. After all, you have work and school and a hubby, but VM has someone trying to kill her, and a love triangle to figure out, and she's still got to take her SAT's and find a college. See? It could be worse!)

Okay, I'm sending you tons of virtual hugs and kisses! If you got on YM every once in a while, I'd send you ones via the smileys, but until we can all get on to do BaF, you'll have to imagine them. But you have a vivid imagination, so it should be no problem for you!

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

I have to tell you, Ames sent me your new chapter, and I was bad and read it, and man! You are evil, and you broke my heart.

Maybe you can give me a little something HA Shaped to help me tape it back together?
