This is lifted off Ausiello's Page since no one (and I mean no one) has been talking about Gilmore Girls. So, again, kudos to Mike Ausiello. Thanks for the interview:
Exclusive: Lauren Graham Speaks!
It can no longer be said that my close, personal relationship with Lauren Graham is one-sided. Why? Because last Friday, Gilmore Girls' bedazzling banterer had just survived a massive flood in central Virginia and was stranded alongside elephants, giraffes and all manner of wildlife on top of a humongous ark, covered in dirt and melting under 110-degree temps, and you're never going to believe what she did. She picked up her cell phone and called... me.
Ausiello: Are you OK?
Graham: [Frantic] I'm [shooting Evan Almighty] the sequel to Bruce Almighty, where God tells Steve Carell to build an ark, and he refuses to do it, so animals start following him and he starts, like, growing long hair and a beard — he starts turning into Noah. But we have this ark that we've built that is literally at least one football field long. It's truly insane. I've been stuck on top of the ark for, like, hours and here I am. Hello.
Ausiello: Are you sure this is a good time? I got a call from your manager saying you might have to postpone.
Graham: I'm OK now. I called [my manager earlier] and was like, "I've been on top of the ark. I have dirt on me that's, like, 3 inches thick." And they're like, "OK, it's not really the flood. Calm down." [Laughs] But I'm OK for the moment.
Ausiello: How much more filming do you have to do?
Graham: It's endless. It overlapped with [Gilmore Girls] by, like, a month, so there were about 30 days where I would work in one place, fly overnight and work in the other place.... It's been, like, two and a half months. And then we still have two or three more weeks here in Virginia and then like three weeks in L.A. doing effects and green screen and stuff. It's huge. It's a huge shoot — animals and a flood and craziness!
Ausiello: How meaty is your role? This isn't the kind of thing where you spend four months filming and you only get 10 minutes of screen time, is it?
Graham: There's no way to say now, and I certainly wouldn't offer conjecture that would harm me in anyway. You know, I'm his wife, and it's a great part. The family is important to what happens in the movie. It's a bigger job than I've ever had, so I'm just happy with that.
Ausiello: How is it working with Steve?
Graham: It's been great. It's been totally great, especially because now we're nominated for [a TCA Award] together. We had a fistfight this morning.
Ausiello: That's right! You're up against one another in the best-comedy-actor/actress category!
Graham: I know! Isn't that funny? So, it's been really fun. It's just been really fun.
Ausiello: How does it feel to be nominated against all men?
Graham: It feels really cool because those are the guys on TV that I enjoy the most. That, to me, would make a great dinner party. It's totally unexpected and really cool, and [the critics] have been so important to the success of the show and to me in particular, so I'm really thankful. This is the time of year when I start getting asked a lot about [the Emmys], because I think I've become, like, the Susan Lucci [figure] — except I'm not even nominated.
Ausiello: Are you aware of the changes in the Emmy system this year?
Graham: Yes, but I don't totally understand them. I know that it's sort of like they hole up everybody in a screening room and you're sort of forced to watch an episode. I don't really understand what the difference is.
Ausiello: As I understand it, Academy members will decide the top 10 to 15 nominees in the major categories, and then a blue ribbon will choose the final five, but only after watching episodes of all the pre-noms.
Graham: Well, I think that's interesting, but I wonder if it will help or hurt, frankly, because the [Gilmore] episodes I like the most tend to be the most dramatic. I think our strongest episodes are the least funny, [but we're] in the comedy category. You're still gonna be watching it along with something with a laugh track, and it might seem weird.
Ausiello: Well, speaking of Gilmore, what was your reaction when you found out Amy was leaving?
Graham: I still am in some sort of denial. She was directing the [season finale] and she told me personally one night after work. You know, there had been rumblings, but there always are this time of year, because they have renegotiated pretty much one year at a time. I thought there was a chance for a reconciliation. From what I understood from her and then from what was printed, the reasons why don't really match. So I don't know. They're both really talented.
Ausiello: How do you feel about it on a personal level?
Graham: I feel sad. I feel sad because I think this is probably going to be the last year of the show and we won't all end it together. There have been ups and downs over the years, like any collaboration, but I trust her dialogue. I haven't always liked where the story's going, and I haven't always liked the plots, but I really enjoy her language. And she really had a huge part in every episode. On the other hand, we're in the hands of David Rosenthal, who's very talented, and who's really kind, and who really deserves the belief that the show will be really good. Most shows, at this point, don't have their original show-runner still attached. And we have a much bigger crew of writers now, because when you're a husband-wife team writing every other episode, you don't have a lot of other writers. So we now have some really high-level people who are fans of the show, and I think that energy might be really important. It's our seventh year, so we have to look at it as an opportunity to kind of have a renewal. But [Amy and I have] been e-mailing back and forth. I think it'll be OK.
Ausiello: One of the things Amy and Dan wanted was a two-year deal, which struck many people as odd because you and Alexis have made it pretty clear that you're leaving after next season. What's your take?
Graham: I mean, I don't know. I think it's really better left... I think they hoped that we would change our minds.
Ausiello: Is there a possibility of that?
Graham: There's no way to say. No one's approached us about [an eighth season]. It's a lifestyle thing as well as a creative thing. I'm not set for life or anything. I need a steady job, and this is a wonderful character and a great show and something I'm really proud of. So there are definitely reasons to keep doing it. But to me, when you start staying someplace for money or security, it shows in your work. It's a very difficult show to do. It's a lot of language and that makes for very long hours.
Ausiello: Will it be a decision you and Alexis make together?
Graham: It will be something we talk about. We talk about major things involving the show frequently. I don't think we'll ever get in a situation where she wants to stay but I don't and one of us is holding out. We wouldn't do that in a vacuum without the other one knowing.
Ausiello: Would you ever continue without Alexis?
Graham: Never. Can you imagine? "Lorelai's Place." I, like, move into Luke's diner and, you know, hang up a new sign and start singing the theme song and directing all the episodes. That would be terrible.
Ausiello: I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but the majority of fans I've heard from hated that Lorelai ended up in bed with Christopher in the finale.
Graham: I don't think people were probably thrilled — of course, all my references are 50 years old — when somebody shot J.R., you know? Oh my god, I'm 100! It stirs up your passion for what you would like to happen and for the characters you're interested in. And it's human. The thing I don't like on television is when somebody does something that makes absolutely no sense just for the shock of it. [The Lorelai-Christopher thing], to me, was such a long time coming. This was built into the story for a long time — that Lorelai didn't feel understood [by Luke] and they weren't communicating. [Christopher and Lorelai] have a connection and it made total sense to me, just given the story. To me, that's a satisfying season finale. I'm sorry if people were upset.
Ausiello: Fans also didn't understand why Lorelai was so passive when Luke shut her out of his life with April.
Graham: I totally agree. But I've [voiced] these complaints before and it always gets sort of explained to me like, "We're going somewhere. You have to trust." And our show is not that "plotty." It's not Lost. It's not like you get a lot of, "And then they're all living in a cave," or whatever happens on Lost. The whole season has an arc of these little moments of behavior. I don't think this is a passive character, but both in the Rory situation and in that April situation, it's hard to play. But I do think the payoff was good. And had you not had all those episodes where you and I and everybody was frustrated, would the payoff be as good? I don't know. I really trusted [Amy's] way of telling a story and that's her way of telling a story. There may be some difference in that this year, and then will people complain about that? "Too much happened!" You know, "Lorelai's too sassy again!" If you have a show you like or characters you like.... it's like the Clippers. The Clippers don't always win, but I still like going to a Clippers game. If you like the team, then come back and watch the team. But that's another reason why I think maybe this will be our last year. I think the story is kind of headed to a place where Rory will graduate from college and something is gonna be resolved with this [Luke/Christopher] thing. And maybe Lorelai ends up with Mr. Big.
Ausiello: Do you know what David has planned next season?
Graham: No. But he doesn't either. I had a nice meeting with him not that long ago, and the writers are just sitting down together to break stories. I know that he'll talk to me about it because he's like that. So, I think I'll know more than I might normally have.
Ausiello: Will you be more involved in the creative process?
Graham: No. I would like to be a producer on the show, but that's not anything they're gonna let me do.
Ausiello: Why not?
Graham: I think, at this point, any request [might lead to], "Well, if you want something then we want an eighth season" kind of thing. It's nothing quite that bold. It's not David's decision anyway; that's higher.
Ausiello: That's [Warner Bros. TV president] Peter Roth.
Graham: Yeah. But they have their reasons. It's important to me to be involved in that way. I'll still be involved, just in a less formal way.
Ausiello: I have one more question that I've been dying to ask you since September. Did something happen backstage at the Emmys between you and Jennifer Love Hewitt? You looked like you were about to claw each other's eyes out when you presented together.
Graham: Oh my god, that's terrible!
Ausiello: The way she darted to the podium and left you in the dust....
Graham: That was the only thing! I was in a tight dress, and she was in a more Audrey Hepburn kind of shape, and I just think she could move faster. I was laughing. I was just sort of like, "And here I am, nine hours later.... the nominees for.... " [Laughs] No, there was nothing. She's a doll. She's a really sweet girl.

Combining Shows
As Kristin and Mike Ausiello had revealed:
Scoop!: Everwood Exec Joins Gilmore
If you were looking for a silver lining in Everwood's tragic and untimely cancellation, here it is: Sources confirm that executive producer Rina Mimoun has joined Gilmore Girls as a consultant. I don't know about you, but I consider this a huge coup for Gilmore. Not only will Rina bring her considerable show-running talents to Stars Hollow, but she has an unparalleled aptitude for nuanced characterizations and — more importantly — satisfying story arcs. If I were new Gilmore boss man Dave Rosenthal, I'd be breathing a huge sigh of relief.
Talk about combining shows! My only concern? When Rina took over the reigns of Dawson's Creek was when I realized the show's potential had gone down the drain. How disconcerting is that?
Here's a link to Kristin's interview with the Gilmore cast. Also, enjoy as Enrico reveals what's in the briefcase and Jason reliving the "epic" line to Kristin. Freaking hilarious.
And if your download was as wonky as mine, here's the chat transcript on Kristin's interview with Wentworth Miller and the Winchester boys. (Ha! Funny that Jared watches Grey's Anatomy and knows Denny's dead... Although rumor mill has it that Denny might be making a comeback in Grey's. As what? I don't know. Twin? Apparently, there's another show that has his character being head honcho, drama type, one each.)
WENTWORTH MILLER OF PRISON BREAK
K: Ok, so I am here with Wentworth Miller and I have to tell you, I am so excited to talk to you, because holy crap, what a finale! That was like edge of your seat, I screamed, I yelped. It was really good, and I have to say, I think it really sets it up for a stellar second season. Are you feeling that way?
W: Yeah, I'm really excited. At first I thought, you know, there's a chance that the show's going to lose momentum because we're leaving the prison behind. That's why a lot of people were tuning in in the first place. But I think, actually, we've liberated ourselves so to speak, and now that we've established Michael, we've established Sucre, and T-Bag and Abruzzi, we can really take those characters anywhere, and I think the audience will follow.
K: Right. And might we see Michael in some different clothing now?
W: Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. I have to talk to a few people about that. Clear it with Fox first. But yeah, I hope so. I hope there'll be a lot of disguises and kind of Fugitive-esque escapades.
BREAK
K: Are you allowed to say anything about Sara at this point?
W: Well, the writers have told us next to nothing. Aside from the five million dollars buried somewhere in Utah that we're all going to be fighting over inevitably, and Michael and Lincoln trying to unravel that government conspiracy, I don't know the specifics. But I think, I hope I mean, Sara and I have I think such great chemistry as actors, and we've worked so hard to establish that relationship in a really realistic way within some kind of fantastic confines, that it'd be a real shame to just leave that by the side of the road.
K: Right. Well I'd just like to say that if, by chance, she doesn't come back, I am available (Wentworth laughs) to be your love interest next season, and I would absolutely--
W: What's your number?
K: Kristin Veitch. I'll make sure you get my number before you leave (Wentworth laughing) and I would absolutely leave the door open for you. Like, no questions asked, door to anywhere, you know what I'm sayin'? The fact that she hesitated, I was a little--. I don't know. I'm just sayin' I would do differently in her place.
W: I appreciate that. I'll remember that.

JARED PADALECKI AND JENSEN ACKLES OF SUPERNATURAL (AND MICHAEL ROSENBAUM)
K: So did you guys get any sense from the producers what might happen when you come back next season?
P: I don’t know. I mean, especially knowing that Jeff is dead on Weeds and Grey’s Anatomy, I say the Winchester boys get out and wreck some sh*t! Shoot! Wreck some shoot.
K: (Laughing) Crap. Crap.
A: Bleep.
J: Wreck some junk.
K: Bleep! (To Jensen) Maybe you could just bleep him while he talks.
P: Yeah. I say the three Winchester boys get back and wreck some--
A: Bleep!
K: Perfect. Done and done. You guys have worked together before, haven’t you?
A: No, I don’t even know this guy.
P: I never met him. I don’t want to see him ever again.
K: Alright, and you’re paired up with Smallville now. Do you feel like that’s a good pairing?
P: Are we?
K: Yeah. No one seems to know what night they’re on. They should tell you guys these things!
A: Again, they don’t tell us anything. Uh no, that’s good. I mean, they moved us there toward the end of the season this past year and I thin kit worked a lot better than Gilmore Girls, which, great show, odd pairing with Supernatural. So I think it’s a good slot. It’s a good pairing for the two of us. And, uh, you know, I can’t stand Tom Welling.
P: But it’s good to know that we’re on a show after somebody who’s much smaller and weaker and worse looking than us.
K: And [unintell]-ier.
P: Right.
A: Yeah. Yeah.
P: So it’s good to show him a thing or two.
K: Right.
P: Where is he? Is he--?
A: No, but Michael Rosenbaum who’s even worse is right here.
K: Oh no. Lex Luthor comin’ through. (Michael Rosenbaum comes up)
M: You guys are so big and strong. I’m lookin’ at you goin’ ‘I need to work out!’
P: Listen to this guy! He’s not kidding.
A: Or shave.
M: I mean, I see these guys in the gym every day. Well, not every day ‘cause I’m not in the gym every day. But when I go to the gym, there he is!
P: The first Saturday every month, when he works out--
M: And you always have a tank top on.
P: I do. I do. ‘Cause I know he’s coming in.
A: Well most of his time in the gym is spent posing in the mirror anyway.
M: Who him? Me?
A: All of us.
M: Why not?!
A: Exactly. That’s why we go.
K: Michael, I hate to break it to you, but they were just totally talkin’ smack about you and your show.
M: I forgot we were even being interviewed for a second. (Kristin laughing) I thought we were at the bar still.
K: Where’s my martini?!

X-Men III: The Last Stand
Should've been called "The Biggest Disappointment".
It's like waiting for Christmas because you've been good only to get socks.
Socks, I say!
Revelling in X2, the awakening of the Phoenix was something I was looking forward to this summer. Well, after months of waiting and pining, we got to see Phoenix. Unfortunately, her revelation was not that impressive.
Well, it was, I guess, but then, how can I really say it was good when you can't even enjoy or empathize in her metamorphosis?
(Don't read beyond this point if you don't want me to spoil it for you)
Let's start with the drama between Scott and Logan. It was one of the tension-filled moments in X2. In three, there was very little of it. When I say LITTLE, I mean, to the point of non-existence. I do understand why they had to do so. James Marsden (Cyclops) had to act in 'Superman Returns' as Lois' man-friend and father to her child.
Moving on...
The love triangle among Iceman, Kitty and Rogue. Wow. I was waiting for it and it was almost non-existent. How could Rogue be so shallow? There was no chemistry between Iceman and Kitty. One question: did George Lucas write it?
Xavier's death: its impact was lost. Really lost. So lost, I don't want to discuss it. It just hurt!
Mystique's humanization: LAME. She was like one of the most important characters of 1 & 2 and to just lose her in the first 40 minutes? Really, if they were planning on losing her, choosing Pyro to replace her was almost like saying replacing the star of your (insert your favorite sport here) with the "Little Sisters of the Poor".
Colossus, Jaggernaut, and Archangel: I wanted more. So much more. But since there were so much more mutants, none of them got the spotlight to shine on them. Colossus barely said a thing, Archangel was nothing but a walk on. I guess Vinnie Jones was the only one that got something out of it. He had a chase scene with Kitty and that was asking too much.
Storm: too much of her was in it. For someone who was in the background for 1 & 2, all of a sudden she's the spokesperson? Give me a break. If the script was calling for the non-reciprocated Logan love, definitely, Logan and Storm didn't translate it well on the big screen.
Phoenix: Wow. Where do I start? Her hair was too fake. Her special effects looked like it was done by a second grader learning to use Photoshop. Her lines? Inconsistent. Again, for someone who was supposed to be intellectual and spirited, she was weak, confused and aloof.
If there was only one character that remained true to form, it was Logan. Even at that, I thought his scenes were okay at best. And at that, his scene with Magneto was probably was the most consistent one with 1 & 2.
A lot of people would crucify Brett Ratner for the slow, short and impact-less X3. I would say the blame lays on the studio. For a series to die an ugly death because they didn't want Superman to beat them off the blocks, well, the only thing they did was blow money.
Bryan Singer should've finished it. He should've not taken his writing team.
X3 had so much potential and lost its punch. I, for one, very disappointed.
An hour later, I still am in a quandary. Was the movie supposed to focus on Phoenix or the cure? Maybe that was one of the bigger issues. The writers should've stuck to a central theme. I didn't care which but they should've chosen. If the story revolved around Phoenix's rebirth, then they should've kept it at that. If it was on the cure, then they should've chosen that.
When X3 was being batted around (rumorville, of course) the 2 strongest plots were the rebirth and the love triangle.
We got neither.
For the most part, I think Bret had done everyone a favor for the X-Men saga. It's dead. This is dead.
Maybe his Wolverine movie would fare better because it would just revolve around him.
As long as he doesn't include Jackie Chan in it, I think Wolverine would make a better impact than this movie ever will.
It's like waiting for Christmas because you've been good only to get socks.

The Offiicial CW and FOX Fall Line Up
From Kristin E!Online:

Veronica, One Tree Hill and Supernatural made it!
Here's (the pretty much official) new CW schedule which has very few newbies (and sadly, no Invasion):
Monday: 7th Heaven, Runaway
Tuesday: Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars
Wednesday: Top Model, One Tree Hill
Thursday: Smallville, Supernatural
Friday: WWE Friday Night Smackdown
Saturday: Everybody Hates Chris, ALl of Us, Girlfriends, The Game
Something tells me Chris Rock might not be a happy camper this morning, moving to Saturdays, but the rest of the schedule looks pretty dang good, does it not? Supernatural and Smallville are natural pairings, OTH got its dream partner (Top Model) and Veronica Mars after Gilmore Girls is allllright by me.
As for Fox ....
24 and Idol will be off the air til January, making room for Prison Break to return in August before baseball.
SpyDaddy (Victor Garber's) pilot Justice was picked up -- yay! As was Vanished, Standoff, The Wedding Album (with no-parts-Joe, Bruno Campos), Til Death with Brad Garrett, Happy Hour and The Winner (with the Daily Show's Rob Corddry).
All good if you ask me, though I can't help but shed a tear for Everwood. The good news? They shot two endings so at least we won't be left with the dreaded never-solved cliffhanger.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think CW did well with its Thursday line-up having Smallville lead into SN. Goes to show that they have faith in their leading men. Problem is, Denny (of Grey's Anatomy) will be battling against himself in the same time slot as Sam and Dean's dad this fall.
Sucks to be on 2 channels at the same time.
On a lighter note, I am pimping SpySyd's recap of Veronica Mars' second season. Watch it. You just might find her video spine-chilling.

I Heard a Rumor

You know I don't care much for the big 3 (NBC, ABC, CBS) because they will always have a large following. Whether I watch Grey's Anatomy or not, they're going to get their viewership. Fox is probably in that realm, too, with Prison Break, American Idol and House keeping it profitable.
Now, here's the tricky one: the merger of WB and UPN.
Here's what I've read so far thanks to E!Online's Kristin:

Okay, now I do believe in miracles!
Sources tell me that ALL THREE -- Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill and Supernatural -- were picked up for next season on the CW. I'm hearing 22 episodes with the option of cutting the order to 13 for all of them ... Though that's just a rumor at this point.
Sadly, it looks as though Everwood is gone for good. ... Something Scott Wolf looked sincerely torn up over on yesterday's ABC carpet (he's on a new show called NINE that looks really good).
Reba is also gone.
Pickups for CW include Runaway with Donnie Wahlberg (hearing good things about it); Palm Springs from Dawson's Kevin Williamson, and The Game which is a Girlfriends spinoff.

The official word has just come down from the suits at The CW: our beloved Veronica will be back! (I never doubted it for a minute) Rob Thomas just sent me an email, confirming the good news. He said they've been picked up for 22 episodes, with the option of reducing the order to 13 if ratings slip too low. No word on their time slot yet. I'm sure Rob will let us know as soon as he hears!
With that being said, here's what the Ausiello camp is saying about the renewal of OTH over Everwood:
Question: Are the executives at CW on crack? How could One Tree Hill get renewed over Everwood? — SC
Ausiello: To answer your first question, they must be. To answer your second question, see my answer to the first question. All kidding aside, Everwood's demise has taken everyone by surprise. "I was really shocked, because I expected it to get picked up," Scott Wolf told me last night at ABC's bash, where he was promoting his new show The Nine. "And I'm disappointed for a really great group of people. I know they were hopeful that they'd make it to [the CW]. There are a lot of really sad people in this country right now who were really, really behind that show, and I'm one of them." And I'm another, although I'm more pissed off than sad.
Ans another posting on whether Beaver raped Mac in the Season Finale:
Question: One major question that was not asked about the Veronica Mars finale: Did Beaver rape Mac? It sure seemed like it when she said "he took everything." Your thoughts? — Kristen
Ausiello: Forget my thoughts, let's ask boss man Rob Thomas himself. "Beaver did not rape Mac," he says. "He took her clothes, the phone, the towels, the bedding. Mac was essentially trapped in the room. When Veronica found her, Mac was wrapped in a shower curtain. That's all we meant to imply with the line. We ended up cutting a scene in which we would have seen Beaver exiting the room with a Santalike bag of 'stuff.' Viewers would've been left to imagine what was inside."
Another side serving of revenge, anyone?
Question: Will Gia or Dick be returning to Veronica Mars next season? I love them. — John
Ausiello: Not sure about Dick, but Rob Thomas told me that it could be "a delicious couple-episode story" if Gia returned to exact revenge on Veronica and Keith for indirectly contributing to her dad's murder. "But," he added, "there are no plans for it."

Keeping the Faith
It's tiring (and repetitive) to constantly post the same crap over and over.
So, as to not cheat my loyal readers, here's a little entry that would take you to Entertainment Weekly's breakdown on the Beaver's Breakdown along with a little spirit juice that convinces me CW (and no, not Clarence Weidman) is going to pick up Veronica Mars' third season.

BEST DAY EVER!!!
No more classes, no more books
No more teachers, dirty looks!
Summertime, summertime!
-Bugs Bunny
I took my finals today. WOOT! Finally, I am done. Done, done, DONE. I don't have to go back to the CC. I don't have to deal with MENSA president anymore. I don't have to deal with school work... Until the fall.
I could've not asked for more.
Well, I can, I guess, like finding out that I need to lose 4 pounds for the next 6-8 weeks if I really want to reach my "ideal weight goal". Pshaw. That's not happening any time soon.
But other than that, things are looking on the up and up.
Anywhoo, I will be posting Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars spoilers here. So, if you haven't seen it yet and don't want it spoiled? Read this only AFTER you've watched the show. TRUST ME.
And if you're done watching the episodes mentioned, here's a link to Ausiello's chat with Rob Thomas. Here's a link to Season 3's plot.
Okay, you've been warned...
Got to watch the last ASP/DP Gilmore Girls episode. Me liked it a lot. The husby? Not so much. He was pissed that Lorelai didn't keep her knees together. He was pissed that Lorelai gave Luke an ultimatum after the whole time she tried staying away from his business.
I understand Nilly's disappointment. He thinks the show sold out a long time ago. Me, the believer, still has high hopes.
He thinks that Lorelai's sudden appreance of a backbone is a series too late.
I think it's late but late's better than not growing one at all. I understand Lorelai's sudden insistence that Luke "prove" his love by eloping. I follow her logic of having April adjust to them as a couple and not the other way around. April knows what the birds and bees are. She only got to know Luke after 12 years of existence. She has also met Lorelai and there is chemistry between them. Luke could've not been any more grateful that at least his newly found daughter can actually get along with her stepmom.
Luke and Lorelai knowing each other for almost a decade trumps over the kid.
Maybe if Luke, Anna and Lorelai were just more mature about the whole setup to start out with, all this drama would've not existed.
Lorelai should've expected that Luke won't take too kindly to the ultimatum. I hope she is ready to reap the consequences of her rash decision.
I did like the scene where Lorelai ended up on the back seat of Christopher's blind date. She was likable. I just didn't understand why Emily found it her job to marry Christopher off or at least find him a suitable mate. Lorelai's side comments? Funny.
Comments on the ending...
I think I am only one of 3 that squealed when Lorelai ended up in Christopher's bed. Gigi catching Lorelai in his bed nekkid, I thought, is something I wish my toddler will never find me in. Even if I did look half as good as Lorelai.
Nilly said that ASP really cornered the next writer to finish the crap. I agree. It would be hard to spin this without it turning into Dawson's Creek post Kevin Williamson era.
Don't ask me for my opinion about Rory and Logan. Other than the fact that she had a horrendous British accent, I really thought that their "goodbyes" were so-so for someone who was supposed to be in love and won't be seeing until Guy Fawkes Day. (that line, I found funny). I did like Mitchum's response to Rory about the world not revolving around her. About damned time someone else said it other than Jess.
I also give props to the Yale building named after Rory (ostentatious?) and the Emily line, "Did I fire you yet?" That cracked me up.
With that being said, will I be looking forward to Season 7? Yes. Will I expect to be disappointed? Honey, it's nothing but up from this point on. How's that for optimism???
Now, off to Veronica Mars.
OH
MY
GOD!!!
I had some suspicion that Beaver was raped as a kid by Woody but I didn't think that he would go that far.
I had to say CRAP so many times, I was howling at the TV. LITERALLY!!!
I was doing the dance. I was covering my mouth. I had to leave the room when Beaver saw Ronnie's text message.
YIKES!!!
How could Cassidy do something so tragic? How could he be so cruel and calculating?
What does Dick think about the whole thing?
I was upset when I came to the conclusion (and of course verified later on the show) that Beaver DID rape Ronnie. And the clap? Yikes! It was an emotional rollercoaster for me the whole time. I found myself crying for V like I did last season. When I saw her forward the text message to Logan, I could've not yelled for him to get to the roof faster than Superman ever could. When V said she got raped by the Beave, you could see the blood drain from Logan's face, not knowing whether he should help calm Ronnie down or kill Beave himself.
Of course, Cassidy offs himself before the cops could arrest him.
After he confessed to blowing up the bus... Or Ronnie seeing the Goodman plane go bye-bye.
Daddy Mars could've not died. Not like this.
And all V could do is hold on to Logan.
I wonder what was going on in his head while he tries to comfort V in her moment of vulnerability. What was he thinking when he watched her be brave for Mac when she had to tell her that Beaver was not the guy she really thought he was? What deal with the devil did he make when he took V home to mourn in private?
Logan.
God, I so can write a poem about him right now. He was a knight in shining armor being there for her for the whole shebang, waking her up to bacon.
Bacon that Daddy Mars was cooking the day before.
Logan holding on to Ronnie when she realized Daddy Mars blew up on the plane, seeing her cry all over again.
Until Daddy Mars emerges from the door, in the flesh, wondering who's cooking breakfast.
Like the night, Logan disappears as Daddy and daughter reunite.
If that wasn't enough, I am glad to see another appearance of a man we know as Clarence Weidman. Thank you for the great shoutout to the die-hard fans, RT! Seeing him off Aaron Echolls and calling Duncan in Australia with baby Lilly was so bittersweet.
My grade for this ep? A+. I am planning on rewatching the ep tomorrow when I get up. It was just too good!
Kudos to the following:
- Not seeing Weevil cross the stage. Lamb was an ass for not waiting.
- Jackie finally fessing up to Wallace that she's not a rich chick but a mother to a two year old.
- Seeing Alicia see Wallace cross the stage
- The dream sequence seeing Mama Mars sober and a very fit looking Lilly Kane staring at her mural
Questions I have for next season:
1. Will Logan go to college with Ron?
2. Will Ron and Logan be together for the summer? Why do we always miss the summers when the LoVe's together?
3. Does this mean that when Troyboy comes back, he'll be a third wheel to the LoVe couple?
4. Did Sheriff Lamb die in the plane crash, too? (update: he didn't die in the plane explosion)
5. Do we get to see Weevil next season? (update: yep, post jail time)
6. What was in the briefcase that had Keith stand up his daughter?
CW better give them some VM love or else I will be tracking down the powers that be to make VM reappear on my TV screen.
No more teachers, dirty looks!

Crashing: Final Gilmore Moments
It's sad when I am hoping that Ausiello's blog is right saying that the Gilmore Girls finale is a finale that we could actually tolerate, much less expect to be better than Season 6. This past season was really odd, not in the sense that it was bad per se but its rhythm was so off that I was getting seasick. The whole obsession behind Paul Anka, the appearance of April, the rehash of dialogue between Anna and Lorelai (dubbing the "I make sure that no man is in my life to affect my relationship with my child" brouhaha as the Grasping for Straws convo), the Lorelai/Rory mishmosh, the Logan/Rory debacle... Sheesh, even a soap opera would say, "Slow down!"
But that's beside the point. With ASP handing the steering wheel over to a new writer, I guess we'll just have to see what's in store for our favorite Stars Hollow buddies.
More Ausiello Scoop:
Question: You mentioned in your blog that Kelly Bishop had at least five classic lines in the finale. Can you give us a few? — Sally
Ausiello: Keep in mind that half the genius here is in Bishop's delivery, but here are three that tickled my insides: "Lorelai, eat your paella," "Lorelai, are you having some kind of breakdown?" and my personal favorite, "Gerda, did I fire you?"
Question: You're killing Rory-Logan fans with all the suspense about the season finale! Can you say anything other than their goodbye is a "tearjerker?" Do we have any reason to be happy or hopeful for the future? — George
Ausiello: You have every reason to be hopeful. As you'll see next Tuesday, it's pretty obvious that their final scene is not so much "goodbye forever" as it is "goodbye for the hiatus." Besides, I already told you that Matt Czuchry is going to be back next season. Here's another finale tidbit: Rory has another memorable run-in with Logan's dad, only this time it's Papa Huntzberger who knocks some sense into her.
****News Break: Vote for the World's Sexiest Vegetarian. Bets on Milo Ventimiglia or Kirsten Bell?****
Question: Please give me a really big scoop on Veronica Mars. — Claire
Ausiello: Kristen Bell dropped some juicy finale tidbits to Matt Mitovich in Tuesday's Insider. Among the tastier morsels: Bell confirmed that "a couple of people are offed" and something happens in the episode that "hasn't been done on television before. Not in the way of stunts or anything, but the theory behind it, if you really think about it, hasn't been done."
NOW for stuff from Kristin from E!Online:
Louisa: Will Denny survive this season of Grey's Anatomy?
Kristin: Just ran into Isaiah Washington (love that man!) and asked that very question. He responded: “Mum's the word. Definitely don't miss the final two hours on the 15th of May. All your questions will be answered. I guarantee it!” And I'd just like to say I will be pissed if they kill of Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He's too good to let go. Isaiah also had this to say about Chris O'Donnell, “I haven't worked with him, personally. He's in love with Meredith Grey, so he doesn't want anything to do with me yet! But if he comes back next season, I suspect I may have an opportunity to actually be on screen with him. He's a wonderful gentleman. I've seen him at the read-throughs and at the lunch table and he seems like a very nice man.” And I share with you that very lame quote for no other reason than to write the words Chris (sigh) O'Donnell.
Georgettafine: What's going to happen beweeen Burke and Cristina?
Kristin: According to Washington, “It's going to be rocky for awhile. You can maybe [liken] it to the Shakespearean play Taming of The Shrew. If you can understand that struggle, The War of The Roses
, it's going to be that kind of struggle between Burke and Christina. It's not going to be an easy road, but they are obviously very, very much in love. I can say that much. “
brandbewbabe: Any Gilmore Girls gossip?
Kristin:I actually ran into Liza Weil, who plays Paris, at -- of all places -- the Prison Break wrap party! Turns out Liza has a very special connection to the show: she's engaged> (!!) to Paul Adelstein (Agent Kellerman, the awful FBI guy who's killing everyone for the Vice President). How funny is that? They are actually pretty dang adorable together. As I spoke with Liza, Paul came up behind her saying "She's my fiancee! We're engaged!" and Liza joked about both of them playing bad guys on TV and how they should have some sort of Paris/Paul Kellerman crossover. Maybe he could kill Christopher? (Just kidding.) (Sorta.)
Happy Thursday!
But that's beside the point. With ASP handing the steering wheel over to a new writer, I guess we'll just have to see what's in store for our favorite Stars Hollow buddies.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Of course, I start with the good. It's insane that the Veronica Mars' numbers aren't doing any better due to the baseball season. But if you can convince other peeps to keep watching, here's a little rundown of what was missed.
For the bad, more coverage on why money and contracts talk alongside the Gilmore gabbery.
Lastly, the ugly. Really, who really wants to see (or care for that matter) if Dan Scott is actually the Catwoman incarnated in One Tree Hill? If CW picks up OTH over VM, I am staging a boycott on the station that is hosting the merger. You with me?

The Long and Short of It
How rude of me not to post the interview Ausiello had with Team Palladino about Gilmore Girls.
I for one, respect Amy for not being apologetic about how season 6 turned out to me. However, taking that with a grain of salt, she also had a responsibility to her public to deliver something with substance.
Anywhoo, I've posted the good, the bad and the ugly from Ausiello. Sounds like Everwood may make the CW cut!
Question: Please tell me you have good news about Everwood going to CW. — Shauna
Ausiello: Actually, I do have a bit of good news. In an e-mail exchange last week, exec producer Rina Mimoun told me that Greg Berlanti met with CW boss Dawn Ostroff last Tuesday and "pitched a whopper of a fifth season." But more important, Rina noted that Dawn was "overcome by the amount of letters/flowers/fudge and even necklaces she has received from Everwood fans! Once again, our fantastic fans could truly save us. So tell everyone to keep 'em coming!" You heard the pretty lady, get busy! Here's that address in case you lost it:
Dawn Ostroff
UPN
11800 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90025
Question: Any hint as to who gets pregnant on One Tree Hill? — Mary
Ausiello: Yes, it's a woman.
(Okay, y'all know I hate OTH but I had to post this. His remark was hilarious!)
Question: Can you give us anything on the Rory-Logan cliff-hanger on Gilmore Girls? A hint? A clue? Just a little scoop, please? Not even a scoop, just a scooplet? — Grace
Ausiello: Despite what you may have heard, their "final" scene together — which is both sweet and sad, I'm told — does not take place in an airport. That doesn't mean he's not still going to London though. It only means they won't be saying good-bye in an airport. How's that for a major spoiler!
Oh, and if you haven't done so, visit E!Online's Save One Show (SOS) event. It could be your vote that can make or break a show you might miss coming fall.

It Has Begun
... And you thought it would be YEARS before we get to hear from the spawn-of-the-moment, Suri Cruise. Think again. She's already started her blog.
She is more flipping hilarious compared to her overhyped parents.
Trust me, it's worth reading for the giggles.

Nail In The Coffin
I guess it's final. Maybe this next season will be better, if not rejuvinated. It has to be. If it turns into another Dawson's Creek (when Williamson left), I will be crushed.
But, look at the brighter side. There's nowhere but up for everyone to look forward to, right?
I know, still a bummer.
Well, now take your mind off the sad news and read this little Veronica Mars commentary. It'll make you think.
But if you can't will yourself away from the disappointment, here's a little ditty by Stephen King about caring less about Katie Couric's transfer to CBS.

Annual SOS and Gilmore Update
Kristin of E!Online is on her fifth annual Save One Show (SOS) campaign this year and it's up to you, the fan to make this work.
One of the shows saved was last year's lagger, Veronica Mars.
Here's the good, the bad and the ugly according to Kristin:
Likely to Be Saved: George Lopez, Gilmore Girls, The New Adventures of Old Christine, The O.C., Reba, Scrubs, Smallville, Veronica Mars and The Unit.
On the Fence: According to Jim, Close to Home, Commander in Chief, Conviction, E-Ring, Everwood, The Evidence, Freddie, Girlfriends, Hope & Faith, In Justice, Invasion, Out of Practice, Sons & Daughters, Supernatural, Teachers, The War at Home and What About Brian.
Likely Doomed: All of Us, The Bedford Diaries, Courting Alex, Cuts, Eve, Free Ride, Half & Half, Joey, Less Than Perfect, Living with Fran, The Loop, Love, Inc., Modern Men, One on One, One Tree Hill, Pepper Dennis, Related, Rodney, Surface and Twins.
Here's also Kristin's scoop on the season ending Gilmore Girls:
London Calling: I think Turk said it best in a recent episode of Scrubs, as he was watching the best female duo on the telly: "Mothers and daughters: They speak so fast, but they speak so true." He was watching, of course, our beloved Gilmore Girls. And since these girls are so apt to tell it like it is, and I happened to get on set during the taping of the season finale (pinch me!), naturally, I had to dig for info regarding the possibility of another season--especially given that the show has not been picked up yet and the rumors (which sadly were confirmed this week) that show runner Amy Sherman-Palladino might call it quits.
"I'm pretty sure the show will go on," Alexis Bledel (Rory) told me. "We've been on the WB for a while, and I'm sure they'll just pass us along to the CW." Of course, only time (and our Save One Show poll?) will tell, but I for one am not ready nor willing to say goodbye--if for no other reason than I want to know what happens with Lorelai and Luke and Rory and Logan. Can I get an amen, brothers and sisters?
Since Alexis (Rory) and Matt Czuchry (Logan) were the ones on set that day, I did my best to supersleuth some romantic intel, but what I found wasn't quite so romantic. "In the season finale, we're going to find out that Logan is indeed going to London [to take] a place in the paper there," Czuchry revealed. "[Their relationship] is sort of left up in the air because he's leaving for a whole year," Alexis added. "I mean, Rory's really young, so that's a long separation." Still, let's just say I'd be shocked if Logan is gone for good.
In the season finale, Rory throws a big going-away bash for Logan, and a few musical personages guest star in the same episode: punk band Sonic Youth, 24's Mary Lynn Rajskub (yes, she sings) and a slew of other undiscovered singers who vie for the vacated town-troubadour spot. And you'll be happy to hear that at least one of the candidates is rooting for RoLo. "We just met Logan, and that was exciting," Sonic Youth's vocalist Kim Gordon told me. "He's our favorite of Rory's boyfriends!" And how.
Now, for the deal breaker. Spoilerfix misquoted Ausiello by saying Team Palladino had left but from the sound of things, NOTHING is set in stone. However, if this is a real RIP for the "original" Gilmore Girls team, I would say that it probably would be for the best if they left. If I were WB, I would've been weary giving ASP 2 years of a show when season 6 was really nothing to write home about. I know in my heart that the writing team behind GG would do a better job without ASP's filler eps. And if they do, I think the Ickle Gals would have to make the trip to Hollywood to give this show a proper ending.

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, There's No Prom For Them To Go
Please tell me you watched VM last night. It was too funny! Who would've thunk that Butters was into Mac? What does the Beave have to say?
I just thought the pairing was funny since the whole premise of last night's episode was dark. Ronnie was questioned (again) by the prosecution, Duncan is being framed for Lilly's murder (again), Kendall is in cahoots with the Fitzpatricks (I saw that coming) and Weevil saves the day of the PCHers and severing his ties with them once and for all (love it).
Now what do we have in store for the next couple of days? Here's Ausiello and Spoilerfix to give you some deets:
Any scoop on Veronica Mars? — Kim
Ausiello: As you may have heard, the prom gets canceled after a bunch of seniors get drunk on a class trip. That prompts Logan to host his own prom. "I can't tell you how pleased I am with all of our 'alterna-prom' material," Rob Thomas says of next week's episode. "I think fans will really enjoy it. My favorite scene may be the elevator ride up to prom, which includes Veronica, Mac, Butters, Corny, Dick and Madison."
04/18 - Enrico Colantoni reveals: I'm guessing [we won't see more of the Alicia/Keith relationship.] There's [a] badass fight I have with Liam Fitzpatrick played by Rob Rowland later on [this season]. This fight is pretty much a one happening thing. You'll see it. It's really quite cool. And then I don't know if he comes back next season or not, because we're already on the last episode. And I know Liam isn't back in the last one. Source: IGN
Oh, before I leave the VM chappie of this post, did you know "Butters" was on Gilmore Girls?
Which is a perfect segue to last night's ep: Lane and Zach tying the knot.
I thought the whole chaos in the Kim home was hilarious. Mama Kim afraid of her mom? Hiding stuff under the boards? Kyuon double dressing like Lane? The sex talk between Lane and Mrs. Kim? Totally worth watching.
Zach liking the traditional Korean wedding outfit totally reminded me of Liz's husband and the whole stocking fetish, however.
I also liked (however embarrassed) for Lorelai when she drunkenly went on and on about Lane being married and that she'd never be married. It was a painful scene. I am glad that there were no cameras on Lor's speech. Chris and Rory should've pulled her off stage sooner. Ugh.
However, how cute that Chris is there, again, to the rescue?
I was watching GG on ABC Family this morning and was watching the ep when Lorelai severs her ties with the Gilmores, including Chris, and Luke not liking it. Somehow, I bregrudgingly admit that the person Lorelai is in her relationship with Luke was cemented in that episode: giving Luke "time" to adjust to things, and that she would be the dedicated girlfriend.
Honey, it doesn't work that way. You should've told Luke what's wrong. Trust me, it's all right.
Lastly, how beaten Logan looked! And he's still graduating? I mean, unless he was like Finn who would probably graduate because he shagged his way to the top at Yale, Logan is in no shape to graduate, finish his final requisites to cross the stage. And Rory running to his side? *Sigh* Someone needs to brain the stupid child for being childish.

Home Sweet Home
Wishing I still lived in Seattle so that I could go to the Bumbershoot. In recent years, this concert had attracted and made several indie bands. Some known artists had graced the stage. This year won't be different. There would be some breakdancing and ballet that are to be featured.
Some of the Saturday spectacular? Girls in rollerskates.
Mary Gaitskill, author of the book, Veronica, will grace the event with her presence.
There are two stages to accomodate the comedians this year.
If that was not enough, the Seattle International Film Festival will curate 1 Reel Film Festival.
End the day with a trip to the newly reonvated Indie Market. If you go because I got you curious, you owe me a present from the stalls... Preferrably the touted viynl record handbags. I am really curious.

Should've Been Named Adam and Eve
Playing the name game... Again.
Just when we thought that celebrity parents have gotten smarter after they've named their kids "Pilot Inspektor" and "Jor-El" (or is it Kal-El?).
But, no.
With the only outliers, Ben and Jennifer Affleck, naming their daughter Violet, here we are again saying, "WHY"?
I hope they have good middle names, if not, life insurance.

So, What Is Sexual Responsibility?

A look at Bedford Diaries' second episode brings to mind Professor Macklin's question: what is sexual responsibility?
Does it pertain to just 'covering the jimmy'?
Is sexual responsibility 'not playing the field'?
Does sexual responsibility incorporate telling the truth, admitting the truth and being honest with one's self about a sexual history and current state of sexuality?
One of the main events that took place in the episode that I found compelling is the fact that Professor Macklin brought to light another professor's scandal of at least bedding 2 students. Bedford University does not have a policy that restricts such relationships and Professor Macklin agrees that one cannot legislate morality. The fact that the professor did the 'deed' as to give passion a bad name, however, was rather interesting.
Does sexual responsibility, in this case, define the guidelines of f**king or making love?
What do you think?

GG Final Snippets and the Man Formerly Known as Tristin
So, J called my "blogging" funk last night. I am still in a comatose state over skank-pedophile (SP for short). Thanks to Ali, we've gotten to see the bling the twelve year old just got. SP really needs to get a reality check. I am with Kristin V of E!Online here, with she being President of the Sophia Bush Hating CMM club, I think I will be member of said fanclub.
That off my chest....
Here's a little (musical) ray of sunshine for the season ending Gilmore Girls, thanks to E!Online:
SEASON CLOSER: Gilmore Girls wrapping its production season with guest appearances by indie bands including Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo, Joe Pernice and Sparks.
For the full article, read here.
And this, thanks to Ausiello's weekly news:
24 Star Rejoins Gilmore Girls
Chloe is a traitor! OK, that's not exactly true, but 24's Mary Lynn Rajskub is consorting with the enemy, guest-starring on the May 9 season finale of WB's Gilmore Girls. The actress will play one of several singers who invade Stars Hollow hoping to get discovered after an agent taps the town's troubadour to open for Neil Young. Rajskub — who honed her crooner chops as part of the improv comedy-music group the Girls Guitar Club — called me from the Gilmore set late yesterday to chat about the Girls gig, Chloe's upcoming "romantic challenge" and her plans to take Manhattan this summer.
Ausiello: I just want to point out that I interviewed you back in 2003 when you first started on 24, before Chloe became the superstar she is now.
Rajskub: Thank you. What's funny is the people at the network are always telling me, "Yeah, [Fox] hated you at first." I'm like, "Yeah, I know. That's the story of my life."
Ausiello: I liked you before it was cool to like you.
Rajskub: You should put that in your story.
Ausiello: I will. So this is actually your second appearance on Gilmore Girls.
Rajskub: Yes. I know Amy Sherman Palladino from Veronica's Closet. She helped me get that part, from seeing me do live shows or something.
Ausiello: Last time you played Kirk's girlfriend, right? I barely remember it.
Rajskub: It was really quick. I was kind of sad that they didn't bring me back to actually play [that same role]. Kirk had asked me to be in his short film; it's like a second long.
Ausiello: You're playing a completely different character this time.
Rajskub: Right. I am a…
Ausiello: Troubadour?
Rajskub: Yeah, troubadour. I was trying to think of another word. I was going to say singer/songwriter.
Ausiello: You think I'm too dumb to know what troubadour means.
Rajskub: (Laughs) No! I'm not totally comfortable with the word. I basically walk around and sing to people. I'm a troubadour!
Ausiello: So that's what it means.
Rajskub: I guess a bunch of troubadours come out of the woodwork to try to get discovered. So I get to take a break from 24 and sing a song.
Ausiello: Do you have any lines?
Rajskub: I have, like, two lines. I say, "Hey, I'm trying to sing a song here!"
Ausiello: What's the song?
Rajskub: A song I made up.
Ausiello: Oh, just a song you made up.
Rajskub: Not just a song. The song.
Ausiello: My apologies. What's the title?
Rajskub: "I Drive an '89 Volvo."
Ausiello: You wrote it exclusively for Gilmore Girls?
Rajskub: Yes.
Ausiello: Will you be releasing it as a single?
Rajskub: (Chuckles) Well… as soon as the offers start coming in.
Ausiello: You're under contract with 24. Did that present a problem in doing Gilmore Girls?
Rajskub: Well, it wasn't a matter of the contract, because I'm allowed to [do other stuff]. That's not a big deal. The big deal was trying to get the time blocked out, because we're wrapping up our shooting for the season and so it's a little bit hectic. It was hard to get an entire day blocked off, so I'm very grateful that I was able to come and have a little bit of fun today.
Ausiello: Do you watch Gilmore Girls?
Rajskub: No. I don't know what happened; I just stopped watching TV.
Ausiello: What happened?
Rajskub: I don't know, I just stopped.
Ausiello: In other words, you have no investment in Luke and Lorelai as a couple?
Rajskub: No. I watched it when it first came out and I was really into it. And now that I'm on the set I'm like, "Aww… I can't believe I haven't been keeping up with it." I'll have to buy the DVDs.
I think she saved herself some time by forgetting the whole JavaJunkie crapola...

I'm Such A Homer

Since I didn't get to watch tonight's Veronica Mars (yet), please enjoy the Troy/Veronica vid Smurfette_06 made for LJ.
I know I am the only one that likes Troy but give this a chance. Did I say that she used Alanis Morissette's "Head Over Feet"?
Ooh, and the VM Season Spoiler courtesy of Spoilerfix... Things that make you go, "Hmmm".
Episode 2.22: Not Pictured (Season finale)
Airdate: May 2006
04/05 - Rob Thomas reveals: You'll see [Keith and Wallace's mom] in a scene together in the finale, but I'm not sure that's going to be the kind of "together" you seem to be hoping for. Source: TV Guide Online
Relieve Some Tension
This is like that carnival game where you can throw the ball against the target and someone gets dunked in the tank. Here's your opportunity to Save Our Shows.
Veronica Mars is on this list. So is Everwood. So is Scrubs. So is Reba. So is OTH (EWWWWW!!!!! Sink the stinky show. I'd pick Reba anytime, 5000 times over).
So get to it.
Moving on...
I went home early last night. With the puky sensation and headache-addled head of mine, I decided to just lie in bed and catch up on Gilmore Girls.
It is pretty sad that I forgot how the last episode ended. Watching Logan try to get in through Paris' apartment was not what I was expecting. Actually, I was picturing how I could start (again) chapter six of GOC but that's beside the point. The way Rory 'forgave' Logan was kinda weak, especially since she had no choice when she found Paris and Doyle doing tantric sex on the apartment floor. What's up with the whole moving back with Logan if she's going to be childish and not talk to him at all? I know girls do stupid things to show they're mad but man, the whole "disappearing act" for the weekend without telling anyone you know to get attention is more than stupid. It's selfish and dangerous. Not that there is something dangerous about Stars Hollow but y'all get my drift, right?
Fast forward to the whole Luke/Lorelai sitch. UGH. I hate this plot. I don't hate April. I hate the fact that ASP wrote Lorelai as wimpy and unattached. That isn't the Lorelai I know. Lorelai's current character reminds me more of an insipid child. Not that I would pull a Rory, going into the store (but why not? You are a stranger. Getting angry at Rory would consist of her stalking and not buying a bag) to check out the former flame but curiosity sometimes is what makes us understand. It's the reason why we have 200 religions. That's why we still order different chinese meals despite the fact that they all seem to taste like Kung Pao Chicken. Get it, ASP?
And I know I will have popcorn thrown at me for saying this but I LOVED Zach in this episode with Mrs. Kim. She was too hilarious!!! So we know for sure that Zach's got a job. We know that he actually knows how to save (no matter how little). But Mrs. Kim asking him for a recordable hit demo? Priceless. I thought it was rather cool the way Mrs. Kim wanted him to prove how he can support Lane with something he loves doing. I loved the part where Mrs. Kim changed the ending with a minor chord. She's one tough cookie but one that has really changed throughout the years.
I, too, loved the fact that Mrs. Kim gave Lane the antique ring and telling Zach to put away the "engagement ring" that would scare little children.
It was a good episode but until the season ends, I will constantly hold my breath until ASP destroys the JavaJunkie ending we wanted by her writing and revealing (put your rebreather masks on), "Luuuuuukkeee, you have a daaaaauuuuugggghhhhttttteeeerrrrr."

Some People Never Learn
Great. Something to add to my current headache.
Apparently, some people really DON'T learn.
E!Online: TREED: Just months after splitting with One Tree Hill costar Sophia Bush, Chad Michael Murray, 24, is engaged to an 18-year-old extra on the show, Kenzie Dalton, People reports.
Thanks to Anonymous who provided the information and the photo's address.

Swift GG Post
Courtesy of Ausiello:
Question: I just heard a rumor that Logan and Rory get married in the season finale of Gilmore Girls. Is this true? — Emmie
Ausiello: I honestly don't know. There's nothing in the second-to-last episode (airing May 2) to set the stage for a wedding, but they are in a very happy place.
Question: Are we going to see Richard and Emily on Gilmore Girls anytime soon? — Sam
Ausiello: They're both in next week's episode. And Emily shows up again on May 2 when she drags Lorelai to a real-estate office to show her a five-bedroom colonial that just came on the market. I wonder what that's all about.
Veronica Mars is slipping guys... Not that UPN helped by holding it back for 6 freaking weeks but please, promote the show. If you haven't watched, please do. TODAY. Download it, rent Season 1. Hijack it from another friend who has it. Get it from the library. Just get the word out. I need something else other than OTH on the CW line up. Ewww. For just saying that, I think I need a shower and a penicillin shot.

Scoop Monday
Hello, dearies. Apparently, I have to make a public announcement before starting. Before you set your TiVo/DVR/VCR this week, let me let y'all know that UPN's schedule for Veronica Mars is as follows: Reruns (until 11 April) will be shown on Tuesdays. Afterwards, I think it's doing a switcheroo. So, if you want to see Rapes of Graff this Wednesday, tape the show on Wednesday. It will be reran Tuesday next week. Now, if you're stuck with a VCR and can only tape one show, I'd say tape Bedford Diaries Wednesday and watch VM live. How does that sound?
On to further topics of discussion...
I have a strong feeling that this rumor posted on Kristin's E!Online boards is the pedophile I've just blogged about a couple of days ago. What do you think? Bueller? Bueller??? Post your guesses.
Okay, I've postponed the inevitable. Scoops from E!Online's chat tonight. Thanks, Kristin!!!
From benji: Thanks for the info about the Prison Break number in this week's column! Now, can I have Wenty's real digits?
Sweetie, I keep that for my own booty calls, sorry. For those who missed the info in the column, if you call 312-909-3529, you will get a recorded message from Luca (she lives on the second floor, she lives upstairs from you, yes, I think you've seen her before). You can also email Lincoln at LJ@ign.com. Oh, and I missed it, but earlier in the season, producers also dropped an actual email address used by Lincoln's son, LJ Burrows (Marshall Allman). Send an email to the address LJ@ign.com and you'll get a coded response back.
From Avery: Wait! Hold. On. Did Logan and Hannah actually have sex?
More importantly, someone's dying. Soon. Like, next week.
From rainbofly: Someone is dying? Like, a current character or a newbie? Oh, good lord, the stress!
A current character. Breathe. In. Out. It's going to be okay!
From jeannie: Re: VM Death. Is it a main character?
No. But it is someone integral to this season's second-biggest mystery.
From emily0717: Is it Hannah who will die?
No.
From Amy: I just started watching Veronica Mars. Is Duncan ever coming back?
There are no plans that I know of.

Chasing Veronica
Veronica Mars' new episode 'The Rapes of Graff' will be shown this Tuesday. TUESDAY. UPN says that the time change was supposed to 'help' its audience get used to the show being on Tuesdays, AGAIN, right after Gilmore Girls.
Excuse me?
It's not that I am glad that the show will be following GG, which is what is planned once UPN and WB merge, but hello, has anyone told UPN that GG and VM at this point AREN'T in the same Channel. YET.
The change will make it easier for me to tape and watch GG and VM back to back and tape Bedford Diaries on Wednesdays. However, how far is this bait-and-switch going to go? TV strategists should realize that people are not going to take their crap anymore. TiVo and DVR are getting into households and are here to stay. Maybe they should take a cue and realize that with the plethora of TV channels out there, competition for our attention is important.
Get a clue.
Anyway, here's what you can expect from the next episodes of Veronica Mars:
Episode 2.17: Plan B
Airdate: April 5, 2006
03/23 - Weevil believes that Thumper killed Felix and he asks Veronica to help him prove it; Logan wins an essay contest and gets to intern for a week with Mayor Woody Goodman; Keith examines a video that was taken, apparently by a stalker, inside of Woody's house; Wallace goes to the schoo's Sadie Hawkins dance with Jane; Mac asks Veronica for advice on how to improve her less-than-romantic relationship with Beaver. Source: TV Guide Online
Episode 2.18: I Am God
Airdate: April 11, 2006
03/23 - A restless Veronica is plagued by dreams in which the students killed in the bus crash confront her. Meanwhile, Logan and Weevil are paired together for a physics project that neither is enthusiastic about, until they discover that their success might help Veronica receive a scholarship. Later, when a large number of students are diagnosed with a medical ailment that gives them the right to postpone school tests and projects, a concerned principal Clemmons hires Keith to investigate the validity of the disorder. Source: UPN
pisode 2.22: Not Pictured (Season finale)
Airdate: May 2006
03/24 - Veronica tries to cheer Wallace up as he is not in a good mood due to Jackie leaving. We see Jackie in her new element... Vinnie and Keith talk about the bounty put on a man and consider teaming up to work on this case. Veronica keeps analyzing evidence from the bus crash case. Kendall meets a lawyer about Phoenix Land Trust. Beaver and Mac also appear. Source: SpoilerFix.com
For those that are afraid that Troy will get between V and Logan? Fear not. Rob Thomas said that Troy is not returning as Veronica's love interest.
Remedial Classes: for those who aren't are still trying up to speed with the importance of this upcoming episode, here's the tutorial as to whom Troy Vandergraff is and what he means to Neptune.
Oh, and yes, we'll get to see our favorite high school sleuth graduate... Maybe in a prom, too. Hmm, when?

Oh Really???
I took the test Amy posted on her blog and this is what I came up with. I think the site was on crack when I took it because all I did when I received my "results" was giggle.
Go figure.
Go figure.

Hello, Shop Elsewhere!!!
Okay, so this really bugs me. What is worse than breaking up? Answer: your former significant other picking up their latest love interest in the same place you work.
Apparently, some people like Chad Michael Murray really don't care. Surely, you're going to be closer with those you work with, but come on! Sophia Bush wasn't that bad, was she?
Wouldn't this chickadee know by now that once a cheater will always be a cheater?
Just food for thought.

Calling Wentworth Miller

Please tell me y'all have bought this week's Entertainment Weekly magazine. Flipping through the pages made me feel like a teenager looking through the latest teen mag... Only better. With the Prison Break gang welcoming you in the first few pages, I felt like Monday could've not come any sooner... The PB marathon didn't help either. I was too giddy to wait for the newest installment of suspense to get out of the prison.
Anyway, not to lead you any longer...
To those who drool over Michael Schofield in Prison Break, these numbers are tatooed on his arm: 312-909-3529
It's akin to the time Luke gave his phone number to Lorelai (when you call it you get the Baltimore Pediatric Foundation in connection with John Hopkins). I won't tell you what you'll hear on the other end. Just DO IT!
Anyway, here's a little VM Spoiler:
Episode 2.17: Plan B
Airdate: April 5, 2006
03/22 - Weevil enlists Veronica's help to finally prove who killed Felix and bring that person to justice. Meanwhile, Logan wins an essay contest and gets to intern with Mayor Woody Goodman (guest star Steve Guttenberg) as his Honorary Deputy. Also, love is in the air at the Sadie Hawkins dance as sparks fly between former couples. Tina Majorino ("Napoleon Dynamite") returns. Source: UPN
BTW, I have Jason Dohring's address and phone number. Don't ask me how I got it. I just do. Creepy what you can do over the internet, huh?

10 Things You Don't Know About Me
This is from K who stole it from someone, and which A had done and I'm assuming J will be doing this, too, sometime...
So here's mine:
1. I first declared to be a Socio/Anthro double major when I was a senior in high school. In retrospect, I am glad I didn't.
2. I detest the circus. Clowns and midgets scare me. (No pun on the height. I know I am teased with the nickname Midget but the real deal bugs the crap out of me.)
3. Nilly was the only person I dated that was under 6 ft tall.
4. I am ambidextrous, with a general left hand tendency. However, I write with my right hand.
5. I have prehensile toes.
6. I can bend the first joint from my fingertips without aid.
7. First song I sang as a kid (or so my family tells me) was Strawberry Fields Forever.
8. My little brother gave me a white Gund seal for Christmas ages ago. We put an earring on its tail shortly after its arrival. I baptized it Mikey. Fastforward: now, I have a hubby, as white as my seal, has earrings and is nicknamed Mikey, only by me.
9. I can talk for hours with my older brother on the telephone. It makes up for the months I don't get to talk to him.
10. I hate The Simpsons.

I toldNilly that I dropped him from the "Cool Crowd" to the "Rarely Updated But Sometimes Fun Reads" section of my blog.
Whoowee, was he upset.
Well, he was disappointed that I downgraded him. I said, "If you rarely update, you should be put in a category where people won't expect you to be updating frequently." Thusly, the section.
So he updated. He ranted. He raved. He knows that the Ickle Gals occasionally reads his posting (remember the Paris/Paris blog or the Baby Ho drama he wrote about Britney before she gave birth?) and now is upset that his "fans" are not clamoring for more of his writing.
Maybe the demotion would actually get him back to writing.
God knows he's got the skills to make anyone pee in their pants.
Moving Right Along...
Here's the important (to me) stuff from Kristin's E!Online chat. Of course, Veronica Mars drama, Prison Break drool and Gilmore conniption...
From kelly: I'm so happy Veronica's finally back. What else did Harry Hamlin say?
He was defending Aaron Echolls! He seemed pretty optimistic that Aaron is going to be acquitted, saying, "[Logan] needs a dad. Obviously [Aaron] was in the wrong with Lilly Kane, and it was on videotape, but if I remember, I think those tapes were all burned up in a fire, so unless there were some backup copies or something..." He talked about what a great show Veronica Mars is and how he hopes for a third season, mentioning the onus of being up against Lost.
From brinigirl: Did Harry talk about the rumors that his wife, Lisa Rinna, would take over as cohost of Dancing with the Stars?
According to Harry, it is completely untrue: "That was a rumor that ran in Page Six, but Lisa has not been asked to do the show. We're in talks with ABC right now for other projects, and we asked [the network executives], and they have no idea where that rumor came from. Lisa is embarrassed, because she thought Samantha [Harris] did a great job and didn't understand why people would say she was taking over for her. It is a possibility, but no, at this point, she hasn't even been approached about it." Apparently, there is still a chance we'll see her on Veronica Mars again. Harry told me, "I asked [UPN president] Dawn Ostroff if there was a final word on if [Lynn Echolls] was really dead, and she looked at me, paused and said, 'We never found the body...' So, you never know."
From lola: What were the ratings like for the latest Veronica Mars episode (Mar. 15)? Everyone was going on how this was a crucial night for some reason, and that everyone had to watch this week if they wanted it to get picked up by the CW. So, how did it do?
Well enough that a CW source tells me it's "96-percent sure" Veronica will make it to the new network next season. Party at your place or mine? Or better yet, Logan's?
From braon: Is Keith gonna keep working for Terrance now that Veronica found those explosives in his garage?
I'm not sure, but I do know Keith doesn't wait too long before going to Sheriff Lamb with the news.
From mary: Give us the answers to the Prison Break spoilers! STAT!
But of course, mon chéri! For you who haven't seen it, the Prison spoiler riot is in the column. Now, the breakdown. The following storylines are true:
1. Michael and Lincoln's father is alive.
2. Abruzzi is alive (and loves his Volkswagen).
3. Someone else is alive (and who it is will shock you!).
5. Michael and Lincoln's father reappears.
6. Lincoln is in prison because of Michael. (You will find this out in the flashback episode--the reason he got into trouble originally has to do with Michael.)
7. Lincoln gets out of Joliet Prison and leaves Wentworth behind. (You'll have to see how and when that is true!)
And bragging rights for the first person with all correct answers is... Cemur!!
From andy: So the rest of the PB numbers are false?
Yes, although number 10 is kinda sorta true--from what I hear, a Bristow-esque person may be involved. And of course, number eight or nine could end up being true, depending on whose good karma pays off first.
From lancy: When is Gilmore Girls coming back? This week is another rerun--booo.
The next new episode airs Apr. 4. I hate waiting too, but there's a lot of good stuff coming up next month: Lane's wedding (and we're gonna meet her grandma, who makes Mrs. Kim look sweet and kind), the return of Jess, an unfortunate turn of events for Logan and Rory spying on April's mom. And speaking of April, Lorelai will finally get the chance to bond with her future stepdaughter during her birthday party at Luke's diner.
Here are the short spoiler updates from Spoilerfix:

A Review: V For Vendetta

Starring: Hugo Weaving, Natalie Portman
Directed by: Wachowski Brothers
Remember, remember the Fifth of November.
In futuristic Britain, totalitarian government rules. The people are scared and government likes it that way. Until V came. A masked vigilante, V, on the eve of Guy Fawkes Day, he saves Evey. Throughout the movie, Evey is convinced that this crazy masked man may actually be the face of change.
I went into the movie theater wanting this movie to actually convince me it's better than the reviews it got on magazines like People's Magazine and other gossip rags that know nothing about movies.
Thank goodness it did.
Not only did I find the movie interesting but I found the movie worth talking about.
Have you ever thought about society's apathy in regards to government and the absence of social action? Have you ever felt like you're paralyzed to act upon something you know is right and yet feel like you'd be ridiculed if you did it? Alone?
This movie pushes you to make a difference and not be paralyzed by fear or mediocrity. Each person is a catalyst for change and it's only when you've convinced yourself that what you're doing is right will you be able to justify yourself as a human being capable of wanting better than what is spoon fed to you.
Definitely, this movie does not follow the conventional comic style ala Sin City. This movie wills you to think, to immerse yourself in self-preservation and acceptance of faith in mankind.
Please, don't watch this movie if you plan to be plainly entertained. That's what Failure to Launch is there for. But if you want to challenge your brain and your conviction, give this movie a go. You will not be disappointed.

Being Amy's Sister
Well, I am connected to all my Ickle Gals. They are my sisters in spirit and they will always be part of my sounding board, my leaning shoulder, my support system. However, today, I can honestly say that Amy IS my sister.
After almost 10 years of putting it off, I have finally pledged and been sworn in as a Phi Theta Kappa member.
Today, my new brothers and sisters are:
Apollo 13 Astronaut Fred Haise
Forbes Magazine Publisher Rich Karlgaard
Businessman and Political Figure H. Ross Perot
New York City Opera Conductor Gerald Steichen
Actress Sela Ward
Olympic Ice Skater Michael Weiss
Country Musician Trisha Yearwood
Alrighty, just don't ask me to sing the song.

Gasping for Some Sense
So how could a baddie like Aaron Echolls think that he can pull an OJ? Huh? I mean, the concept is great and all but geez, Aaron, give Troy Vadergraff the attention next season! (Okay, so I am biased. Lilly's case is closed. I don't want to see Logan and V go at it again. It's getting a little frustrating.)
All kidding aside, part of me wants this season to play out like a marathon. I want them to tell me who did the kids in on that bus crash. I want Hannah's dad to go to prison. I want the Fitzpatricks brought down. I want Weevil to be on my screen again. I want Logan and V together before Troy makes his return. Oh well. I know I cannot WILL them to do so but at least here's a preview of next week's dealings.
Borrowing the TV Goddess' analysis (or red herring, whichever you choose to argue) Scooby ability of deduction, why would someone like V overlook Jackie's statement? Comments, anyone?
On a personal note, I just wanted to say thanks to all those who have supported my friend, Vu, in all his artworks and whatnot. Sadly, my Asian Princess has finally left our little Podunk Town for something better and more scenic. Nope, not New York (although he should have! He had a great show at the Tribeca selling 98% of his collection) but for another Podunk Town 2 hours away from us. Vu, Sweetie, the Genghis and I miss you. The workplace needs you. Even Stalker Guy and Army Boy and Butt Picker don't seem as interesting without you around to give a commentary. You better make sure you're making an appearance at my pool party. I need at least someone who'd like to get brown with me and wouldn't burn to a crisp like my Nilly.
That's it for now. Have a great Friday.

Defending the Coupling
Thanks to Kristin and Ausiello, we've gotten some info in regards to the GG debacle:
Question: OMG! Please... tell me more about Lorelai taking Christopher as a date to Zach and Lane's wedding on Gilmore Girls! — Taylor
Ausiello: It's not as bad as it sounds. Chris was actually her third choice. Her first, Luke, was on that bonding retreat with April and therefore unavailable. And her second, Michel, had tickets to see Celine Dion. Only after Mrs. Kim demanded that she show up with a date did Lorelai ask Christopher. That should make you feel a little better, right?
So there's the explanation. Who's buying it? Again, it's only me and like 5 other people that are rooting for a Chris/Lorelai pairing. The Luke/April thing is getting old. Okay, so I do understand that it's overwhelming to find out that you have a 12 year-old daughter but you can't put your life (or the people around you) on hold because you can't cope. So much for the LL wedding.
BTW, there's a show that is on the brink of being cancelled/not part of CW. I won't mention what show it is, but DON'T SIGN THE PETITION!!! I'll give you a clue: for a whole season, nobody played basketball despite the fact that it circled around basketball.
Hope y'all have a great day. VM's on tonight. DON'T FORGET!!!

Another Television "Why Not"?
It is pretty sad when I watch this Veronica Mars trailer just to get a VM fix that isn't a rerun. This month so far had been LONG without it.
Plus, the month being a full-time rerun for GG doesn't help either.
So, here I am, scouring the boards once more for stuff related to my shows that I consider relevant.
First off, here are a few things I passed on to K and A earlier this week. The source of course is the Ask Ausiello boards:
Question: We will send you a one-of-a-kind Smurf if you give us a very good piece of scoop on Gilmore Girls! — Mollie and Sarah
Ausiello: The spring wedding AS-P has been hinting at all year long is definitely Lane and Zach's. But that's not the Smurf-worthy scoop, this is: Lorelai will be bringing Christopher as her date. Please mail the Smurf to TV Guide's New York headquarters c/o me. (Hey, you didn't say it had to be happy scoop. You just said it had to be good. There's a big difference.)
Question: Your spoiler last week about Lorelai and Luke taking a "turn for the worse" is causing some major mental breakdowns in the Gilmore Girls world. Really. It's like everyone's channeling Mimi. How worried should we be? — Rebecca
Ausiello: Depends. Does the thought of Lorelai attending Lane and Zach's wedding with Christopher scare you?
Question: Did Milo Ventimiglia make any comments about Jess' return? — Sam
Ausiello: Did he ever. Milo spoke to my Entertainment News successor Matt Webb Mitovich last week about Bedford Diaries and I forwarded him a few GG questions, including the loaded, "Who's better for Rory: Logan or Jess?" This was his answer: "I really used to like Logan, but he's been kind of an a--hole. I think it has to be Jess or somebody else." Here are some other bon mots from the interview:
How did his April 11 return come about?
"It fit with my schedule. They asked if I wanted to come back, I said sure. I had two days to pop out an episode. It's always fun to go back and see the crowd."
What's the purpose of Jess' return?
"Does Jess ever really serve plot points? I think he did a little last time [when he] got Rory thinking about her ex-boyfriend. This was a nice little guest-star thing. I had a nice scene with Scott Patterson, I had a good scene with Rory."
Would he ever go back full-time? "I wouldn't do it. It's not that bad to go back and forth once or twice a year, but I couldn't go back to [being a] regular."
And as Ausiello promised, he did an interview with AS-P. I am cringing right now at her response. Sound off if you responded the same way I did.
Now that's off my chest, E!Online's Kristin was more forgiving. Other than giving us loads of yummies from Grey's Anatomy, she also has a video segment of the Supernatural boys.
Have a great Friday!

Another Year, Another Milestone
Yep, the moment had passed. I've gotten another year older... I still don't know if I'm wiser but I'll let y'all know if the smart stick actually hits me.
This year's arrival was a lot smoother than last year's. This time, I didn't mope. I actually welcomed it. Anyone who said that once you're over the age of 25 you'd want to stop counting. My friends, I am way over the quarter life crisis and I am just glad that my clock is still ticking.
So, what did this Shop Owner do for the big celebration?
Nilly and I went to the Philadelphia Art Museum.
LOVE IT.
We're total nerds in this category. With the Wyeth exhibit coming to town, we decided to put down a couple of dollars for a yearly membership to the arts. That, and the opportunity to pull a Rocky (you know, running up the steps that's facing Ben Franklin Parkway?) when Nilly and I don't have aching joints. Would've loved it if we got to see the Dali exhibit but again, I won't lament what had been missed.
I can honestly admit that I am skipping the exhibit at the Franklin Institute. It's entitled "Body Works". It's actually an interesting exhibit but it definitely isn't for the weak at heart. With corpses lying around and the faint scent of formaldehyde, the stuff emanates death, if you know what I mean. Not my idea of fun.
Anyway, I just got sidetracked there for a second...
Rocky... Yeah. I was so hoping to get a chance to see Milo Ventimiglia. Of course, I don't but Nilly said that the reason I didn't mind walking the cold and windy streets of Philly is because there might be a slim chance I can bump into Jess. Sadly, no such luck. But hey, I tried, right?
The Ickle Gals were so sweet to send me lovely e-cards and greetings. Camilla was sweet enough to record me a birthday message. Love ya, lady! And ooh, my friend, Albertina, sent me the cutest card and greeting. I miss my hometown girls. Getting a message from her and Jardin made me wish they were around physically.
The PILs also got me some liquid assets to get me new running stuff. I told you I was an oddity. Instead of asking for jewelry or pretty stuff, I ask for torture equipment. Now, I will be styling at the gym.
The parents also were nice to give me a call, a lovely card telling me I'm still their baby. My brother? Sent me a book I've been wanting forever for, some Filipino music to jam to and a necklace he got for me when he went to visit the motherland.
All's good. Can't ask for more.
I hope everyone would have as much love and friendship around them when they reach a milestone. It's worth the investment.
